About this artwork
The Gorilla is the largest of the apes. It is a herbivorous and peaceful animal but with an extraordinary strength. I made it in a non-unnatural pose while trying to scare an enemy with a display of aggression. It was formed in resin with a mold from an original modeled in clay by the author who then colored the resin with golden wax, obtaining a statuette similar to the one that could be used for an eventual Oscar ceremony for simian actors.

Daniele Nannini is an experienced sculptor and designer based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Germany. In addition, his pieces are featured in publications such as Zoom Magazine, LIBER, etc. Begining his career as an illustrator for children's books, Nannini's drawings have always emphasized volumes. He now creates with clay, with a geometric measure in mind.
