About this artwork
"human planks 100" was made from planed larch wood, threaded rods and nuts to create a human shape.
The nuts between the boards and the resulting spaces create a translucent appearance. In addition, the sculpture creates an extraordinary shadow depending on the incidence of light.
The surface is natural, brushed on the front and back and finely sanded on the sides.
For transport, the sculpture can be easily separated from the steel base using… a plug-in system and then reassembled.
All sculptures by Manfred Hellweger are unique.
