About this artwork
"Ahmed" was created in 2025 as part of my series "At the End of Green." In a small format of 30 × 24 cm, complex green tones unfold, gaining depth and vibrancy through fine glazes and organic textures. The surface bears traces reminiscent of leaves, roots, or natural sediments, lending the work a tactile presence.
Like all works in the series, this painting also bears a first name. For me, "Ahmed" connects the abstract with the human and makes… the relationship between nature and ourselves tangible. Despite its small size, the painting has an astonishing expressiveness and demonstrates that intensity is not bound by format.
For me, “Ahmed” is a quiet, concentrated work that radiates power and calm at the same time.
