My work, "Wei" (30 × 24 cm, 2025), is a small but intense oil painting from the series "At the End of Green." The entire painting—from the primer to the final layers—was executed in oil. This creates a particularly dense, vibrant surface that conveys depth both tactilely and visually.
The structure is reminiscent of natural prints: leaves, fine branches, and organic shapes emerge in relief. Different shades… of green overlap and blend with subtle nuances of yellow and darker accents, creating a harmonious yet dynamic field of tension.
For me, Wei is a concentrated expression of nature: an abstract image that conveys calm, energy, and movement simultaneously. It invites the viewer to recognize the greatness in the small—a quiet yet powerful work.
