About this artwork
"Jose" was created in 2025 in my series "At the End of Green." At first glance, the image appears calm, sustained by various shades of green. But upon closer inspection, depth and movement unfold: bright areas that almost glow, and darker passages that evoke shadows.
The title "Jose" combines the abstract with the human. Like all works in the series, it bears a first name to establish a direct connection between nature and humanity. The relief-like… surface, with its traces and structures, reinforces this vibrant impression. Depending on the light, the work changes, revealing ever-new facets.
For me, “Jose” is an image of balance – between calm and dynamism, between closeness and distance, between man and nature.
