“Summer” – the celebration of life
Creating Summer was a moment of pure, almost childlike joy. I needed light, color, and energy to counterbalance a dark period.
It was like throwing open the windows of the studio… and of myself.
A surge of joy, light, abundance.
“Summer” allowed me to channel the vibrant energy of the season, transforming nature into a triumphant ornament.
The bust becomes a flower garden, the face opens to the flowers
It… is a celebration of life, warmth and color.
This work is based on a vintage legless mannequin, whose sibylline face inspired me to create a luminous floral arrangement.
The hat, made up of vibrant flowers, embodies the joy, warmth and abundance characteristic of summer.
The rotating base, designed as an extension of the bust, houses a veritable flowerbed. It transforms the whole into a lush garden, where the sculpture becomes an integral part of the landscape.
