About this artwork
“Autumn” – a season embodied
Automne was born from a need to slow down, to settle down. I needed to reconnect with a natural, cyclical rhythm. Creating it brought me a sense of calm and grounding.
This work comes to life from a vintage mannequin, whose expressive face immediately inspired me.
The absence of legs refocuses the gaze on the upper body, and allowed me to create a lush hat, composed of flowers and branches in warm, golden hues –… like a tribute to the generosity of autumn.
The rotating base is designed as an extension of the work: it anchors the bust in a vibrant and poetic setting. At its feet, natural elements—flowers, mushrooms, pumpkins, a garden fence, a pine cone—tell the story of the cycle of the season, between abundance, transformation, and the end of the cycle.
