“La Kala” – the eternal bride
With La Kala, I worked around love, purity, commitment.
I needed to express a form of depth, almost sacred, like a hymn to love.
“La Kala,” which means “young bride” in Hebrew, was inspired by the discovery of a richly embroidered and beaded off-white fabric.
This fabric became the centerpiece of the work, and guided the entire creation: I wanted to give it its full place, without fragmenting it.
Wearing an embroidered… veil symbolizing purity, she embodies the figure of the bride in all her gentleness and solemnity.
On the body, messages of love, hearts and an abundant bouquet of white roses express love in its most universal form.
