About this artwork
In this work, I present a semi-abstract terracotta sculpture, characterized by strong dynamism of form and a pronounced sense of ascending movement. The curved, slender lines evoke a flow of air, as if the material were propelled by a powerful, invisible force. The progression of the forms suggests a figure precariously balanced between stability and movement: a tension that can be interpreted as the toil of life and a contrast with the elements.…
Compositionally, the sculpture demonstrates careful rhythmic research: the ascending lines zigzag upward, generating an effect of lightness, the emptying of the material. The use of solids and voids, along with the interplay of diagonals and curves, gives the work a remarkable sense of energy and resistance.
