About this artwork
I finally mustered the courage to paint my first tombstone in its natural setting. I contrasted the cool blue-green tones of the stone with the warm orange-brown hues of the pine needles on the ground. A small tree trunk wrapped with a yellow ribbon leans to the left to rebalance the composition.
