“New York” – the urban diva
Creating New York allowed me to channel my boundless energy.
As a way to order the inner chaos by recreating that of the city: A joyful and powerful outlet.
I chose to embody New York through its most emblematic female figure: the Statue of Liberty.
Revisited in its characteristic blue-green tones, it becomes a living representation of the city, its culture and its contrasts.
His head is topped with a yellow taxi… cap, while his arms are replaced by two torches, as if to better illuminate the scene of this theatrical city.
On the base, the iconic monuments take their place, surrounded by an “I love New York” plaque, like a declaration of love to this bustling city.
Messodie, self-taught, from the field of communication, today expresses his artistic soul through plastic art.
Fascinated by feminine curves and in love with 18th century fashion, her "mixed technique" combines the collage of fabrics and lace with painting, resins and gilding, in a reinterpreted baroque style.
She uses mannequin busts and violins that evoke the female body and transposes her baroque universe into it.
Each piece is a declaration of love for feminine materials and curves, an emotional celebration adorned with gilding, angels, lace, and precious fabrics.
