About this artwork
I created this acrylic-based canvas by incorporating scraps from mechanical processes and marble dust: waste materials that I mixed and spread to create a textured, grainy, and luminous surface. The central mass recalls a moon or an asteroid fragment, suspended against a deep black background; the metallic residues emerge as small reliefs and reflections, the marble dust diffuses a cold, opaque light. visual poetry: the harshness of industry becomes landscape, a memory of time and toil, a presence that challenges the void. I invite the viewer to come closer, to perceive the contrast between matter and emptiness, and to recognize the beauty hidden in the abandoned object.
