About this artwork
I created 'Timewyrm' in my first year at university. I had left a rural, safe home, moved to the city and within months had been damaged by a short-lived, chaotic and abusive relationship.
The artwork is thus a cacophony of nightmarish and otherworldly images. Here are mountains, faeries, dragons and demons, a bizarre totem terminating with a snake devouring a cross, beneath which a river runs by, feeding the plant-life beside it and inside it.… Strange and disturbing, it is a chaotic dance of symbols and surreal forms, capturing the invisible tensions of my mind and spirit. Using only pen, I subconsciously merged metaphysical mystery with vivid surrealism which invites the viewer to explore the dimensions beyond reality.
This artwork radiates intense energy, inspiring curiosity and introspection, and will bring an enigmatic, thought-provoking aura to any space.
