About this artwork
The cavities between the tubes provide insights into the interior and make the sculpture appear translucent depending on the viewing angle.
“human flow” was derived from the aphorism of the Greek natural philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus: “Pantha rhei” – everything flows.
Just as the water in a stream is always moving, all things, living beings and phenomena in the world are… always changing.
Everything changes and develops, nothing stays the same.
“KARI” comes from Greek mythology and is the name of one of the 146 known moons of Saturn.
With this work, Manfred won first prize in the Spiekeroog Cultural Foundation's sculpture competition. The sculpture will be on display as part of an open-air exhibition on the North Sea island of Spiekeroog until May 2025.

« I have always been fascinated by abstracting the human body in order to depict it in a simple and elegant form. »
He is particularly known for his minimalist approach, in which he reduces forms to their essential elements.
Hellweger's work embodies the idea that nothing is permanent; everything evolves and changes. Each of his sculptures reflects a deep engagement with the materials and themes he explores.
Despite their simplicity, his works are deeply expressive and, by reducing them to the essentials, offer a metaphor for mindfulness and contentment.
