About this artwork
With human flow AEGIR, the artist creates a symbol for diversity, change and renewal.
From leftover pieces of eleven different types of wood – maple, oak, spruce, cherry, pine, larch, linden, mahogany, beech, walnut, and Swiss pine – he forms an abstract human figure. The vertically arranged strips are reminiscent of a flowing stream and lend the figure an organic dynamism.
The use of residual wood is a conscious statement for transformation and… sustainability.
Past materials are given a new life and become a whole. The multifaceted composition of materials reflects the diversity and, at the same time, the interconnectedness of human existence.
Thus, the sculpture appears both grounded and in motion. A human flow that reinterprets constant change and becoming.
