About this artwork
The cavities between the strips provide insights into the interior, in some cases you can even see right through.
In addition, the interplay of different lengths and distances between the strips creates a special dynamic that seems to be constantly in motion.
"Human flow" was derived from the aphorism… of the Greek natural philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus: "Pantha rhei" - everything flows.
Just as the water in the stream is always in motion, so all things, living beings and phenomena in the world are always changing.
Everything changes and evolves, nothing stays the same.
"Hyperion" comes from Greek mythology and is the name of one of the 82 known moons of Saturn.
All sculptures by Manfred Hellweger are unique.

« I have always been fascinated by abstracting the human body in order to depict it in a simple and elegant form. »
He is particularly known for his minimalist approach, in which he reduces forms to their essential elements.
Hellweger's work embodies the idea that nothing is permanent; everything evolves and changes. Each of his sculptures reflects a deep engagement with the materials and themes he explores.
Despite their simplicity, his works are deeply expressive and, by reducing them to the essentials, offer a metaphor for mindfulness and contentment.
