Output 11 moves between graphic order and free abstract painting. Violet, green, turquoise, red, and yellow form color fields of varying sizes. The original structure remains recognizable, while boundaries blur and colors blend together.
Preparing this painting took considerably longer than executing it. Once the colors, tools, and process were determined, the actual painting emerged within minutes. This very contrast… is a key element of the "Smear Board" series: a meticulously planned order is subjected to speed, materials, and immediate decisions.
The title Output simultaneously references the logic of digital systems and the communication with ChatGPT: Prompt, Process, Result. In painting, however, the result cannot be calculated. The original plan remains in the image – but altered.
We see the output. The path to get there remains open.
