About this artwork
The artist connected the individual strips of different lengths to one another using a complex and time-consuming gluing technique.
The cavities between the strips provide insights into the interior, in some cases you can even see right through.
In addition, the interplay of different types of wood and cavities creates a special dynamic that seems to be constantly in motion.
"Human flow" was derived from the aphorism of the Greek natural philosopher… Heraclitus of Ephesus: "Pantha rhei" - everything flows.
Just as the water in the stream is always in motion, so all things, living beings and phenomena in the world are always changing.
Everything changes and evolves, nothing stays the same.
"DIA" comes from Greek mythology and is the name of one of the 79 known moons of Jupiter.
Types of wood: maple, linden, sycamore, larch, stone pine, cherry and apple.

Manfred Hellweger
Austria
« I have always been fascinated by abstracting the human body in order to depict it in a simple and elegant form. »
Manfred Hellweger is an Austrian sculptor whose works are already represented by collectors worldwide.
He is particularly known for his minimalist approach, in which he reduces forms to their essential elements.
Hellweger's work embodies the idea that nothing is permanent; everything evolves and changes. Each of his sculptures reflects a deep engagement with the materials and themes he explores.
Despite their simplicity, his works are deeply expressive and, by reducing them to the essentials, offer a metaphor for mindfulness and contentment.
